A key ring of blessings left undeclared?

“But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deluding your own selves. For if any one is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a mirror: for he beholdeth himself, and goeth away, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But he that looketh into the perfect law, the [law] of liberty, and [so] continueth, being not a hearer that forgetteth but a doer that worketh, this man shall be blessed in his doing.” (James 1:22-25)

It is so contradictory when someone knows so many verses on different subjects and often studies God’s Word, yet when problems, difficulties, and challenging circumstances arrive, we see that person looking for solutions the world offers or adopting an attitude that God’s Word does not teach… Does this make sense?
Could we be that person? What good is a key ring of blessings if we do not use it?
Isn’t it true that

“Every scripture inspired of God [is] also profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction which is in righteousness: that the man of God may be complete, furnished completely unto every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

?
Something is happening, then; something in our system is short-circuiting… So we need to examine ourselves:

\1. How is our wiring for ‘Putting God’s Word into Action’? God has called us to put the Word into action!

“For the word of God is living, and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and quick to discern the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12)

\2. How is our wiring for ‘Declaring God’s Word’? God has called us to declare the Word!

Since

“… faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans 10:17)

and

“… faith too, if it has no works, is dead in itself.” (James 2:17)

then it is our duty to believe and declare the Word as though it were already fulfilled, because

“… this is the confidence we have in him: if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests we have made of him.” (1 John 5:14-15)

Let us not forget that our

“Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for edifying as the need may be, that it may give grace to them that hear.” (Ephesians 4:29)

3, Who has wired ‘Foolishness’ into us? We are not foolish!

It would make no sense to say we are God’s children and fail to put God’s Word into practice! Therefore,

“… whoever hears these words of mine and does not do them, I will compare to a foolish man who built his house on the sand. The rain came down, the rivers rose, the winds blew and beat fiercely against that house; it fell, and great was its ruin.” (Matthew 7:26-27)

So, since we are not foolish, we will put God’s Word into practice at all times!

“Every one therefore that heareth these words of mine, and doeth them, shall be likened unto a wise man, who built his house upon the rock: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon the rock.” (Matthew 7:24-25)

\4. Who has wired ‘Fear and Dread’ into us? We are not fearful!

If God is love (1 John 4:8), and we have confessed Jesus as the Son of God (1 John 4:15), as our Lord and Savior (Romans 10:8-11), then we remain in God and God in us! (1 John 4:15) This is when we understand that

“There is no fear in love: but perfect love casteth out fear, because fear hath punishment; and he that feareth is not made perfect in love.” (1 John 4:18)

Therefore, we know the one who tells us,

“fear thou not, for I am with thee; be not dismayed, for I am thy God; I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” (Isaiah 41:10)

and he is doing it!

“Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:37-39)

Let us act, declare, and cast out foolishness, fear, and dread! What do you think?
