Trust and Faith
Does God sustain us?
2 min read, approximately

“A man’s goings are established of Jehovah; And he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For Jehovah upholdeth him with his hand.” (Psalms 37:23-24)
We continually face situations that take our breath away or leave us discouraged, sad, or confused. That is why our King wants to remind us that he is there day after day to sustain us. But why?
“For I, Jehovah thy God, will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.” (Isaiah 41:13)
In times of illness:
“Behold, God is my helper: The Lord is of them that uphold my soul.” (Psalms 54:4)
And let us not think that he sustains only a few, for:
“Jehovah upholdeth all that fall, And raiseth up all those that are bowed down.” (Psalms 145:14)
So today is a good day to trust the King of Kings and believe that his hand has always sustained us, sustains us now, and will sustain us… May we confess as the psalmist said:
“My soul followeth hard after thee: Thy right hand upholdeth me.” (Psalms 63:8)
And declare that…:
“A Psalm of David. Jehovah is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; He leadeth me beside still waters. He restoreth my soul: He guideth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.” (Psalms 23:1-4)
Will we let ourselves fall into our Father’s arms, despite everything?
