Will you bury your talent?
2 min read, approximately

“Whoever is faithful in very little is also faithful in much, and whoever is unjust in very little is also unjust in much.” (Luke 16:10)
“Then the one who had received one talent also came and said: Master, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you did not sow and gathering where you did not scatter. So I was afraid and went and hid your talent in the ground. Here is what belongs to you.” (Matthew 25:24-25)
God has placed many talents among his people, but it is our responsibility to develop them for the blessing of his people and the glory of his name. Today I want to share some common phrases so we can reflect a little on the talents God has given us: \1. ‘I cannot do it because others surely do it better than I do’:
“So it does not depend on the one who desires or the one who runs, but on God who shows mercy.” (Romans 9:16)
\2. ‘I am sure I cannot do it’:
“I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13)
\3. ‘I feel ashamed or embarrassed to use my talent’:
“Whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” (Colossians 3:17)
\4. ‘I just do not feel like doing it’:
“Let the same attitude be in you that was also in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 2:5)
\5. ‘I do not know what my talent is’:
“Show me your ways, O LORD; teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; I have waited for you all day long.” (Psalms 25:4-5)
Do we really have any excuse to tell the Lord that we buried our talent?
May God continue to bless you
and may you keep enjoying an excellent day in Christ Jesus!
