Are we forgetting what God does?
3 min read, approximately

“So will my word be that goes out from my mouth; it will not return to me empty, but will do what I desire and succeed in the purpose for which I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:11)
The verse above is one of those that gives us the most hope, but sadly few people know it, and others among us are forgetting it.
If we truly considered who is saying this, our lives would probably be different: we would live with greater confidence and walk with our heads held high.
Since that is the purpose of this page, how about we remember it together?
\1. Forgetting his creation? Our Father made absolutely everything incredibly good and wonderful, and that includes us!
“And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.” (Genesis 1:31)
\2. Forgetting his presence? The Lord has never left us alone!
This is not a soap opera; this is real life. We are not alone, period!
“The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah” (Psalms 46:7)
“Even if my father and mother were to leave me, the Lord would still take me in.” (Psalms 27:10)
\3. Forgetting his promises? God never lies!
Is that clear?
“God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said it, and will he not do it? Has he spoken, and will he not carry it out?” (Numbers 23:19)
\4. Forgetting our purpose? Our Father said it; our Father will do it!
“The Lord will fulfill his purpose in me; your mercy, O Lord, is forever” (Psalms 138:8a)
\5. Forgetting his verdict? No one can prevent what our great Lord has said about us from being fulfilled!
“I know that you can do everything and that no thought is hidden from you.” (Job 42:2)
It should be absolutely clear to us that we have an immensely great and almighty God who created us, gave us meaning, and accompanies us. He has also determined things about us that will be fulfilled, because his Word never returns empty but accomplishes the purpose for which he sent it. We believe this because he does not lie, period:
“For all God’s promises are Yes in him, and Amen in him, through us, to the glory of God.” (2 Corinthians 1:20)
All right?
