Commitment and Service
Do you have dreams? How do you plan to make them a reality?
2 min read, approximately

“For which of you, desiring to build a tower, doth not first sit down and count the cost, whether he have [wherewith] to complete it? Lest haply, when he hath laid a foundation, and is not able to finish, all that behold begin to mock him, saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.” (Luke 14:28-30)
We all have dreams we want to fulfill, but… Have we sat down to write how we will make them a reality with the Lord’s direction, or have we simply started pursuing the dream without even taking the time to organize our ideas? The Lord advises us to commit:
“…your works to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” (Proverbs 16:3)
“But let all things be done decently and in order.” (1 Corinthians 14:40)
Without order, it is impossible to make our dreams a reality! Why? Because:
“A man’s heart deviseth his way; But Jehovah directeth his steps.” (Proverbs 16:9)
Because without the Lord’s counsel:
“Where there is no counsel, purposes are disappointed; But in the multitude of counsellors they are established.” (Proverbs 15:22)
Now, the Lord always has a master plan for achieving our goals:
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith Jehovah.” (Isaiah 55:8)
Let us trust the Lord and place our dreams in his hands, and he will grant us:
“…according to the desire of your heart, and fulfill all your plans.” (Psalms 20:4)
And let us try not to be anxious, for God is never late, but we must understand that:
“For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven:” (Ecclesiastes 3:1)
Will we rush ahead with our dreams without planning, or will we seek the Lord’s counsel and wait?
May God continue to bless you
and may you continue to have an excellent day in Christ Jesus!
