“O Lord God! Yet you have told me: Buy the field with money and bring witnesses, even though the city is being handed over to the Chaldeans?” (Jeremiah 32:25)

Today it is easy to hear so many bad and negative messages on television, radio, and in newspapers; they are even conveyed through soap operas and cartoons. We are bombarded daily, with the aim of reprogramming our minds to think: “Yes… Everything is going from bad to worse.” But do you know? That can change for us today! Let us examine these points through the Word: \1. Are we fulfilling our purpose?:

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater [works] than these shall he do; because I go unto the Father.” (John 14:12)

…Reading this verse, it is easy to think we will lift up captives, heal the sick, perform miracles, and be a blessing, and so on. But… Do we truly believe in the Lord Jesus Christ? We need only record what we say throughout the day and then review it. Let us remember that:

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue; And they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” (Proverbs 18:21)

\2. Are we fulfilling our purpose in our family?:

“Every place whereon the sole of your foot shall tread shall be yours: from the wilderness, and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even unto the hinder sea shall be your border.” (Deuteronomy 11:24)

: When we see this verse, we begin to think God has prepared a large, spacious piece of land for us. Yet have we considered that this land might instead be our own home? How will God give us another land to manage if the one we are standing on—our family—is barren? How often do we give it the Word so that it becomes a land flowing with milk and honey? As children, do we give the Word to our parents? As parents, do we give the Word to our children?… If not, it is easy for us to talk about soap operas, radio, and newspapers instead of declaring victory. Let us remember that whoever knows the good they should do and does not do it is counted as sinning (James 4:17). Our “house will be called a house of prayer” (Matthew 21:13a). \3. Are we fulfilling our purpose in our surroundings?:

“The hand of Jehovah was upon me, and he brought me out in the Spirit of Jehovah, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones. And he caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry. And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord Jehovah, thou knowest. Again he said unto me, Prophesy over these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of Jehovah.” (Ezekiel 37:1-4)

…Work, church, friendships, university, supermarkets, and so on… What have you and I been called to do?

“How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace, that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation, that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!” (Isaiah 52:7)

…For example, let us no longer take part in pointless conversations about the government. The person we are speaking with needs light, needs Christ… Will we share him? Today is a day to begin speaking life and victory instead of defeat and death, to rid ourselves of all the pollution the media have put into us, to begin taking in God’s Word, and to fulfill the purpose for which God has called us.

“Then came the word of Jehovah unto Jeremiah, saying, Behold, I am Jehovah, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?” (Jeremiah 32:26-27)
