“For the Chief Musician. Maschil of the sons of Korah. As the hart panteth after the water brooks, So panteth my soul after thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: When shall I come and appear before God?” (Psalms 42:1-2)

It is indeed true:

“For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. O Jehovah, thou hast searched me, and known [me]. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising; Thou understandest my thought afar off. Thou searchest out my path and my lying down, And art acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word in my tongue, But, lo, O Jehovah, thou knowest it altogether. Thou hast beset me behind and before, And laid thy hand upon me. [Such] knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is high, I cannot attain unto it. Whither shall I go from thy Spirit? Or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, thou art there. If I take the wings of the morning, And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; Even there shall thy hand lead me, And thy right hand shall hold me. If I say, Surely the darkness shall overwhelm me, And the light about me shall be night; Even the darkness hideth not from thee, But the night shineth as the day: The darkness and the light are both alike [to thee]. For thou didst form my inward parts: Thou didst cover me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks unto thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: Wonderful are thy works; And that my soul knoweth right well.” (Psalms 139:1-14)

We want and long to enter more and more deeply into your presence… So, if we want to please you and worship you, from today onward we must:

“that ye put away, as concerning your former manner of life, the old man, that waxeth corrupt after the lusts of deceit; and that ye be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new man, that after God hath been created in righteousness and holiness of truth.” (Ephesians 4:22-24)

We must speak the same language as our Father, so that:

“…his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night.” (Psalms 1:2)

Understanding that our relationship with you rests on our need to:

“Pray without ceasing.” (1 Thessalonians 5:17)

If we have not changed, do not read your Word, and do not pray… how, then, are we crying out to you and offering you praise and worship? Let us surrender today to the King of Kings!

“Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man would come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.” (Matthew 16:24)

May God continue to bless you
and may you keep enjoying an excellent day in Christ Jesus!
