“Every scripture inspired of God [is] also profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction which is in righteousness: that the man of God may be complete, furnished completely unto every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

We often meet people who are going through separations, scarcity, and disappointments, who feel alone, defeated, or on the verge of giving up, who have problems with their children, and so on… It is our duty to tell them that Jesus Christ is the answer, the way, the truth, and the life! The Lord is not far away. In fact, so that we can immerse ourselves in the subject, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords left us a Book to teach, guide, and instruct us and spare us so much sorrow… This book is the Bible. The problem is that we ourselves do not even know how the Bible can help us! As we explore it, we realize that the Bible: \1. teaches us that our King longs for us to have a full life:

“And he taught me, and said unto me: Let thy heart retain my words; Keep my commandments, and live;” (Proverbs 4:4)

\2. instructs us so that we may gain wisdom:

“Oh how love I thy law! It is my meditation all the day. Thy commandments make me wiser than mine enemies; For they are ever with me. I have more understanding than all my teachers; For thy testimonies are my meditation. I understand more than the aged, Because I have kept thy precepts.” (Psalms 119:97-100)

\3. opens our eyes to realize that being successful is not a dream—it is possible!:

“But his delight is in the law of Jehovah; And on his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the streams of water, That bringeth forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also doth not wither; And whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.” (Psalms 1:2-3)

\4. teaches us that reading it certainly provides direction for our lives:

“I have refrained my feet from every evil way, That I might observe thy word. I have not turned aside from thine ordinances; For thou hast taught me. How sweet are thy words unto my taste! [Yea, sweeter] than honey to my mouth! Through thy precepts I get understanding: Therefore I hate every false way. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, And light unto my path.” (Psalms 119:101-105)

\5. teaches us to gain faith!:

“So belief [cometh] of hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.” (Romans 10:17)

\6. teaches us that by reading and applying it, I have power over sin:

“Wherewith shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed [thereto] according to thy word. With my whole heart have I sought thee: Oh let me not wander from thy commandments. Thy word have I laid up in my heart, That I might not sin against thee.” (Psalms 119:9-11)

…And so many more things that I could never finish writing them all! Instead: What do you say we read the Bible continually, add more points to the list above, and enrich our lives? And please, let us stop saying: “You want me to read the Bible when I’m going through this?!!” when the Bible teaches us that we have the Mighty Giant with us (Jeremiah 20:11)

May God continue to bless you
and may you continue to have an excellent day in Christ Jesus!
I invite you to stop by the Songbook
