Depressed after losing so much? Depression?

Jeremiah 20:14-18 (Depression)
“Cursed be the day I was born; may the day my mother gave birth to me not be blessed. Cursed be the man who brought my father the news, saying: A son has been born to you, making him so glad. May that man be like the cities the LORD overthrew without relenting; may he hear cries in the morning and shouts at noon, because he did not kill me in the womb, so that my mother would have been my grave and her womb pregnant forever. Why did I come out of the womb? To see hardship and sorrow, and spend my days in shame?”
Without a doubt, we have had dreams in which we placed high expectations. Yet when we least expect it, something suddenly happens and poof… everything comes crashing down! Sometimes we gather our courage to try again, but once more we fail… This is where most of us choose to let distress, sadness, helplessness, and finally frustration into our lives, until we ask ourselves: “Why was I born if I cannot do anything right?”
Be careful! If we are going through the above, we need to know that we are heading toward depression… one of our enemy’s favorite weapons!
If this is what we are experiencing, then we urgently need to understand once and for all what the Lord has done and what he tells us, and repeat:
\1. All depression, leave my life in the name of Jesus! I am the Lord’s handiwork!!
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God afore prepared that we should walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:10)
\2. All depression, leave my life in the name of Jesus! In Christ I can do it; I am persevering by nature!
“For a righteous man falleth seven times, and riseth up again; But the wicked are overthrown by calamity.” (Proverbs 24:16)
3. All depression, leave my life in the name of Jesus! I rise because he carries me and always sustains me!
“Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For Jehovah upholdeth him with his hand.” (Psalms 37:24)
4. All depression, leave my life in the name of Jesus! I believe that my God is King of Kings and is greater than my affliction, suffering, and depression!
“fear thou not, for I am with thee; be not dismayed, for I am thy God; I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” (Isaiah 41:10)
And finally,
\5. All depression, leave my life in the name of Jesus! From today I surrender myself to you, to the peace that only you, Jesus, provide!
“Trust in Jehovah with all thy heart, And lean not upon thine own understanding:” (Proverbs 3:5)
Conclusion
Come on, surrender yourself to him today and
“Commit thy way unto Jehovah; Trust also in him, and he will bring it to pass.” (Psalms 37:5)
A change of plans? Then take courage!! Let us set depression aside and begin again, for:
“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: for every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.” (Matthew 7:7-8)
