“But thanks be unto God, who always leadeth us in triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest through us the savor of his knowledge in every place. For we are a sweet savor of Christ unto God, in them that are saved, and in them that perish; to the one a savor from death unto death; to the other a savor from life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things? For we are not as the many, corrupting the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God, speak we in Christ.” (2 Corinthians 2:14-17)

One truly wonderful thing that can happen to us is knowing Christ and accepting him as our Lord and Savior, because

“Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us; for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: that upon the Gentiles might come the blessing of Abraham in Christ Jesus; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Brethren, I speak after the manner of men: Though it be but a man’s covenant, yet when it hath been confirmed, no one maketh it void, or addeth thereto.” (Galatians 3:13-15)

. That we should receive God’s Holy Spirit… What an extraordinary promise! Let us imagine becoming magnets that draw in all those blessings and promises the Lord has already intended for us. From this moment, many things become active in our spiritual lives that naturally affect our everyday lives. The Lord will expect us to take initiative in many things, because we are equipped to win! Why does the Lord expect this? To name a few reasons…

“For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he should instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.” (1 Corinthians 2:16)

, and also because we receive power:

“I can do all things in him that strengtheneth me.” (Philippians 4:13)

, and as if that were not enough,

“…in all these things we are more than conquerors through the one who loved us. For I am certain that neither death nor life, neither angels nor rulers nor powers, neither the present nor the future, neither height nor depth, nor any other created thing can separate us from God’s love in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:37-39)

And if we want more:

“But Jehovah is with me as a mighty one [and] a terrible: therefore my persecutors shall stumble, and they shall not prevail; they shall be utterly put to shame, because they have not dealt wisely, even with an everlasting dishonor which shall never be forgotten.” (Jeremiah 20:11)

We have the mind of Christ and have received authority. Nothing is impossible because we can do all things in Christ who strengthens us. God’s power is so wonderful: imagine, nothing can separate us from God, and on top of that he fights for us! What will we do with all this superhero equipment? Use it to win! Here are a few examples:

“Jehovah will fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace. And Jehovah said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward.” (Exodus 14:14-15)

“Then Esther bade them return answer unto Mordecai, Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast in like manner; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.” (Esther 4:15-16)

“And when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house (now his windows were open in his chamber toward Jerusalem); and he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.” (Daniel 6:10)

On the other hand, if instead of winning we keep remembering our old lives—‘I used to have this,’ ‘I used to do that’—if we miss them so much, then let us go back! But please, let us not hinder those who are truly doing the work; let us step aside! It would be a great waste to have so much equipment and never use it.

May God continue to bless you
