“Behold, how good and delightful it is for brothers and sisters to live together in harmony!” (Psalms 133:1)
“I rejoiced with those who said to me: Let us go to the house of the Lord.” (Psalms 122:1)
Because in the Lord’s house: - I can behold his beauty:
“One thing have I asked of Jehovah, that will I seek after: That I may dwell in the house of Jehovah all the days of my life, To behold the beauty of Jehovah, And to inquire in his temple.” (Psalms 27:4 ASV)
- I can worship the King of kings:
“Then he will lift my head above the enemies who surround me, and I will offer sacrifices of joy in his tabernacle; I will sing and make music in praise of the Lord.” (Psalms 27:6)
- I can thank God for every blessing received:
“Nor obscene words, foolish talk, or crude jokes, which are inappropriate, but rather thanksgiving.” (Ephesians 5:4)
“Always giving thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Ephesians 5:20)
- We can encourage one another:
“Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.” (1 Thessalonians 5:11)
“We also urge you, brothers and sisters, to warn the idle, encourage the fainthearted, support the weak, and be patient with everyone.” (1 Thessalonians 5:14)
- Because the day of the Lord is near:
“Knowing the time, it is already the hour to wake from sleep, for our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.” (Romans 13:11)
- And:
“… For there the Lord sends blessing and eternal life.” (Psalms 133:3b)
Do we want to miss all this? Will we keep making excuses not to go? Let us remember that the key is:
“Not neglecting to meet together, as some are accustomed to doing, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see that day approaching.” (Hebrews 10:25)
Let us make a decision today and make time for the one to whom time belongs.
May God continue to bless you
and may you continue to have an excellent day in Christ Jesus!
